Expanded Functions for Dental Assistants: Final Impressions

This program expands the scope of practice for a dental assistant in applying liners and bases, fabrication and removal of provisional restorations, testing pulp vitality, taking occlusal registrations, placement and removal of gingival cord. It includes initial assessment to determine the base entry level of all participants; didactic component; clinical component, which must be obtained under the personal supervision of the participant's supervising dentist while the participant is concurrently enrolled in the program; and post-course competency assessment at the conclusion of the program. This program is taught by Jill Day, CDA, CPFDA and meets the Iowa Dental Board requirements. Approved for 9.0 continuing education contact hours for dental professionals. Register for all 3 classes for $699 or pay $239 per day. Fee $239

It includes initial assessment to determine the base entry level of all participants; didactic component; clinical component, which must be obtained under the personal supervision of the participant's supervising dentist while the participant is concurrently enrolled in the program; and post-course competency assessment at the conclusion of the program.
