About the Program

Master software applications for spreadsheets, databases, word-processing, presentations, desktop publishing, and Outlook. Learn basic website maintenance, business writing, excellence in service, and social media in the workplace. You will also get the choice of additional training in the specialties of: Human Resources, Legal or Bookkeeping/Payroll.  Earn industry certification IC3 with this course.  The vouchers and textbook are all included in the cost this course.

Prerequisites

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Intro to Workplace Computers or equivalent

Non-Credit to Credit

Take your education to a whole new level! Successful completion of this program will earn you 3 hours of “CSC 110 Intro to Computers” college credit!

Career & Salary Information

Employers typically look for candidates with strong computer skills and experience working with specific programs. Other common qualifications include communication skills, attention to detail and the ability to multitask. Overall employment is projected to grow 12 percent from 2012 to 2022. Administrative Assistants generally advance to other administrative positions with more responsibilities, such as Office Supervisor, Office Manager or Executive Secretary.
